I made a formal request to Leasehold Services 4 months ago to purchase undemised freehold areas. I am told that Leasehold Services have been unable so far to elicit a response from the Housing Manager with her decision. What would you advise as to my next course of action? Presumably if I make a complaint that could have a detrimental effect upon her decision . How qualified are Housing Managers to make such decisions?
I find formal complaints a really good way of speeding up responses that otherwise wouldn’t be forthcoming. It won’t (ok, shouldn’t) affect the decision, and you can always ask for an explanation of how the figure was arrived at, possibly using FOI to get the full details.
