November’s open meeting rescheduled & next meeting date
We were due to have a second Open Meeting this month. This has now been re-scheduled to Tuesday, 17th January (at the usual time of 6.45pm) to take into account revised policy work that Camden have agreed to undertake. There will be a presentation and update regarding Major Works, taking into account feedback from the Forum. Given October’s meeting, it may be rather lively, but hopefully informative.
For Tuesday, 29th November, instead of the open meeting, we will have a standard Leaseholders’ Forum meeting which will also complete agenda items that we ran out of time for in October; the agenda will be released to those who have subscribed for updates in due course (or you can download it here once published, typically 7 days in advance). It will be at the usual time of 6.45pm at Camden Town Hall.
Leaseholders’ Forum survey – closing soon!
If we are to improve how Camden runs its works contracts, we need to be able to demonstrate that you think significant issues need to be changed. If you have had Major or Capital Works to your property IN THE LAST 3 YEARS, please complete the survey at http://tinyurl.com/clf-survey2016 by 30th November. Forward the survey on to fellow Camden Council leaseholders you know. We are aiming to feed in this feedback into January’s Housing Scrutiny Committee meeting on leaseholder issues.
Councillor Pat Callaghan’s Surgery (Saturday, 19th November)
On Saturday, 19th November from 10am, Councillor Pat Callaghan (Cabinet Member for Housing and Deputy Leader for Camden Council) will be holding a leaseholder-specific surgery at Camden Town Hall (in Committee Room 3A). No appointment necessary – first come, first served from 10am onwards. If you have unresolved queries and issues, this might be a good opportunity to air your case.
Reminder: Key Leaseholder Scheme
On a quarterly basis, Camden Leaseholder Services send members of this scheme details of repairs Camden plans to recharge when the actual adjustment is issued. Members can then review the repairs for their block/estate and forward to leaseholder services any queries they may have for investigation prior to the actual adjustment being issued.
The aim is to reduce the volume of queries to be investigated, making things easier for everyone.
If you would like to join the Key Leaseholder Scheme, contact email@example.com and provide your full name, email address and the address of your leasehold property asking to be added to the scheme.
