Just a short bulletin this time round as we wanted to remind everyone of the deadline for new member applications for the Forum. A more lengthy newsletter is in the works.

Last Call – New Members wanted for the Forum

Are you a Camden Council leaseholder (or freeholder paying Camden service charges)? Do you want to change how Camden Council treats its leaseholders? Stand for Camden Leaseholder Elections and meet senior officers and Councillors regularly to discuss issues and propose improvements.

Elections happen every three years, so there are seats for new members, as well as for those wanting to return. Interested?

To stand, email your name, Camden leasehold address, email address and reasons why you are standing (up to 100 words) to . Closing date is 31st July. For lots more information please visit or call 020 7974 7056.

New Website and Email Address

The Forum’s website has recently been relaunched and is now up and running.

We have a series of useful guides on issues such as:
* how to form a Leaseholders’ Association if you are living in a block or an estate and the benefits of doing so
* how to buy the freehold of your property
* understanding the complaints process
* …and many more. For more information and to see the new website go to and click on “Guides”.

There is also a Discussion Board to so you can ask questions and discuss with fellow leaseholders as well as the option to sign up to the Forum’s newsletter. If you want to receive updates when there are new discussions you’ll have to register for this.

The meeting will be at 6.45pm on Tuesday, 28th July at Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, Kings Cross, WC1H 9JE; observers are always welcome. The next open meeting will be later in 2015.
