I do not particularly wish to be added to the WhatsApp group as already massive traffic of messages. However if the exchange on the WhatsApp Group leads to some agreed action about engaging lawyers to act on behalf of all of us, would someone (Jerome, maybe?) post it on this forum, please?
23rd April 2021 at 09:06 #5886The Bourne Estate Leaseholders’ Group has 12 leaseholders and we have shortlisted a solicitor already. We are open to others and if all of us from different Camden owned properties all get together to chip with asking questions that relate to all our cases then this could bring the cost down massively. For example, whether a particular piece of work like changing windows is an improvement or genuinely needed. If anyone would like to share access to our legal adviser assuming another one doesnt work out then email me on beleaseholders@gmail.com
23rd April 2021 at 10:07 #5887Hi all
I am one the whatsapp group participant. We are collecting all our experiences/issues/complaints and trying to agree on the best way to proceed. We are filling in a spread sheet as well collecting all these problems.
A few of us are now going to talk with some journalists, one of us created an independent website and we are currently looking to expand our network in order to have a stronger voiceIt would be good to agree the best way forward all together – if nobody wishes to be added to the whatsapp group, maybe a zoom meeting where one rep of each of our separate groups will share what has been done so far could help with agreeing on a strategy to move forward?
23rd April 2021 at 11:42 #5890Hi all,
I’m in Brooke’s court and we have 7 leaseholders. We are small estate. I would like to be added to any mailing list etc.
Can you send me your email please ?23rd April 2021 at 11:43 #5891Happy to attend a zoom call.
23rd April 2021 at 12:08 #5892I think the solicitors should do a 1 hour introductory zoom call for all the Camden Leaseholders in which they introduce themselves, and tell us about their experience and issues they can help us with. This is effectively marketing for them and I would have thought they would not charge for this.
23rd April 2021 at 12:27 #5893I am leaseholder – but of my own place not in a block. I would happily be added to any group that will fight the council on their outrageous major works demands and their total lack of clarity regarding buildings insurance and beyond. I am currently in dispute with them over major works bills.
Thanks.
23rd April 2021 at 12:54 #5894Last year I joined an introductory meeting with a solicitor about repair issues and the general mismanagement by Camden Council. The meeting was very informative as well as free of charge. The solicitor is called Michael Vincent from MJV Solicitors (michael.vincent@mjvlaw.co.uk), who specialises in housing disrepair and works on a no-win-no-fee basis.
23rd April 2021 at 13:18 #5895Thanks very much GR. We could approach Michael Vincent, Eleanor at Anthony Gold, and whoever Bourne Estate uses (if they can share the name of their solicitors) and see if any of them would be interested in having a zoom call with the Camden Leaseholders.
