The lift in our block is out of order with nobody stuck inside.
When I try to report it online I get a message saying this fault can only be reported by telephone.
When I try to report it by telephone I am told to report it online.
Any ideas how to break out of this closed loop?
I am going to report it to the caretaker but am I missing something obvious?
It used to be quite straightforward to report such an issue!?

Hi. When this happens in our block, I always call and report it as an emergency. There may not be anyone inside, but there may be an impact on residents unable to use the stairs, etc. Lift repairs are automatically classed as urgent, I believe. (Though it can take hours before anyone attends.)
Thank you greeves. I will try that next time. it has been repaired now so it must have been reported somehow although it didn’t show as already reported on the website.
